Social Media Detox.

In the past couple of weeks, I’ve taken down my social media consumption.

I found that I was scrolling mindlessly on Instagram way too often.

I wanted to focus on things that mattered more to me, especially as the weather is getting nicer.

Focusing more on the kids, fitness and friends.

I think we all go through waves where we are on social media way too much. While social media is a great too, it can also ruin our productivity as well as take a toll our mental health.

This is not to say that we need to be productive ALL THE TIME; it’s completely okay to just sit, relax and unwind.

But you know what I’m talking about; those moments where you are mindlessly scrolling and you KNOW that you should be doing something else important.

I decided to make it a point to complete the most important tasks of my day FIRST before I scroll on social media. I’ve been implementing this rule for the last couple of weeks and it has been fantastic.

While I’m on Instagram or watching YouTube videos, I’ll foam roll as well.

Tackle two birds with one stone, ya know?

I feel better mentally and my headspace is in a positive place.
