Change: Part II.

In a previous post, I mentioned having some changes to my schedule.

What I didn’t mention, is that a good chunk of these changes in my schedule have been happening due to my schedule changing with the kids.

Wow, that was a mouthful.

I’ll just be honest and say, the first week of the change was a bit of an adjustment.

I was now in charge of getting my oldest ready for school (and for the bus at 7:50am) all five days versus only two or three. As a couple of days passed, I realized I needed to get back to making a “mom life” weekly routine.

This is something I haven’t done in quite a long time; basically since when I was married.

Here’s a snippet of what I came up with as the week went on.Screenshot 2022-04-24 7.15.32 AMAs the next couple of weeks go by, I’ll try to solidify this schedule so I can print it out and check things off as I go. What can I say, I love me a good check list.

🙂

Now I know not everyone has the same situation as I do; regardless, I think it is important to build routines.

Since I have the kiddos Sunday night to Friday night, I definitely felt I needed to make some form of a schedule to keep me accountable on all ends.

Mondays I used to have kid and work free.

I used to take care of EVERYTHING that day; groceries, laundry, working out, cleaning the house, etc. Of course, I wouldn’t trade having them more for the world (If I could, I’d just have them full-time), but I knew it was necessary to create some form of plan.

Everything I used to do on Mondays, I had to now spread it out during the week as you can see above. I’m still trying to figure it out, but for now I am just soaking up all the extra time I get with my children.wp-1649211431695You know, one day at a time.
