As my 34th birthday approaches, I’ve had a lot on my mind;
Looking over the past year and seeing how I’ve grown.If you would have told me last year that I would stop Crossfit, be diagnosed with arthritis, change my body with more Pilates classes and found a wonderful person to share my time with, I would have honestly laughed in your face.
Like for reals.Over the last few months, I’ve been embracing my introvert self and honoring my need for alone time. My mental health, has become a second “priority” below my kiddos, of course.
I’ve also focused more on habits that allow me to slow down and live more intentionally.I’ve enjoyed getting more connected with my love for nature, which in turn has caused me to slow down even more.
I want to focus more this summer on showing my kiddos the value of nature.
Not that I don’t already get outdoors with them whenever possible (usually once the weather is past 45 degrees Fahrenheit) but lately, it’s been even more of a shift to share this love with them.
And you know what?
They usually ask me first to go for a walk/ hike vs. the other way around.That’s definitely a #momwin for me.
