I used to have a bad habit with impulsive decisions.
Like I previously mentioned, I lost the desire for the fitness industry.
It was just time to end that part of my life.
Perhaps in time my desire for training and teaching will come back. For now I just want to focus on the most important job title I have; mom.My mom started working I believe when I was about eight.
I remember her always being around.
She would take us to the zoo, fishing, beach, the botanical gardens, park, etc. More importantly, I remember her giving what every kid really needs; TIME.I’m not sure the experience my brothers had (as they were 3 & 4), but I enjoyed that time my mom.
When Covid hit, I thought it was going to be hard to be with the kids full-time. While it DID have its rough moments, I really enjoyed being with them.I decided to get back to work in the spring of 2021 (after not working for over a year). I took my time and was just looking for something very part-time; teaching one or two classes a week.
I found the gym I currently work at and was eager to show what I could do.With my [now known] ADHD, I tend to be impulsive. When I started at the gym I currently work at (until the end of the month), I impulsively said YES to everything.
I didn’t stop to think how it would affect me, the kids or anything else. It usually wasn’t until a few hours later that I would get “overwhelmed” because I realized I had too much on my plate.
But, I’ve learned my lesson and learned to set boundaries.
I’ll still work at the gym [very part-time] for maybe a shift or two each month.ย
We’ll see.As I like to say here, one day at a time.
